So much has been going on this week! We’ve been getting used to the Knight being back home. We’ve also had to get back in the groove with school. Some weeks that is harder than others! So much has been on my mind, that honestly I just didn’t know what to write. I’ve been working through things in a bible study I am doing. I haven’t been the most diligent with it, but truthfully, I’ve needed to take it slow so I can really deal with things. The slow pace has been good for me.
The kids have been a handful. The Professor is going through typical preteen angst, and it hasn’t been the smoothest ride. I’ve found myself saying, “Am I going to survive the teenage years?” more than I care to admit these past few days.
Sports guy is finishing his basketball season. He’s been loving it. I have to say, we have been extremely pleased with how much he has matured this season. I am very proud of him.
The Princess is doing very well in her sewing class. She seems to be adjusting to things quite well, and is slowly making new friends. She is working on her first 4H project. I love seeing her light up as she talks about it, and works on it.
Lil Guy is growing up a lot too. He’s beginning to find his own way as he tries new things. He’s having Sports Guy teach him how to play basketball and other things.
Like I said a lot of little things going on. I’m just trying to stay sane and enjoy the ride…

Well overall, I think things have gone pretty good. One thing I have come realize though, is how much like my Dad I am. Let me explain…
The Knight has been on a business trip this past week, and I have been trying to handle the house, four children, and anything else life cared to throw at me. Well, I’ll be the first one to tell you it hasn’t been easy. The Knight and I work as a team, and when half of the team is gone, well, everybody suffers. Now don’t get me wrong, the house is still standing and everyone is doing alright. But I realized how I like to just be left alone to deal with my junk, just like my Dad. I made the comment to The Knight the other day, it’s scary how much I act like my Dad. He agreed.
Life has a sense of humor. I look just like my Mom and act just like my Dad. But I guess that’s better than looking like my dad and acting like my Mom, can you say Lisa Marie Pressley?! Sorry, that just popped in my head!
Anyway, we’ve had some fun this week too. The weather has been nice, and the kids have been enjoying the trampoline a good bit. We had dinner at a friend’s house last night, and my Mom and Dad are coming over tonight for dinner and to play the Wii.
Tomorrow looks like fun. We have a bunch of errands to run, and I get to drop off my taxes with four kids in tow. (That’s actually a good thing, as it lends itself to our accountant not wanting to sit and chat too much!)
Well, gotta run, things to do you know!
